Rug Care & Maintenance
Tips to maintain your rugs' pristine appearance! |
Flat, Low-Pile and Medium-Pile Rugs
We recommend vacuuming regularly, with a regular vacuum cleaner to remove dust, dirt, and debris from your rug on the light setting.
To maintain the quality of your rug, consider disabling the rolling brush or using a handheld attachment if your vacuum cleaner supports these functions.
Vacuum the entire rug lengthwise, then turn and repeat for the next section, instead of moving back and forth. Ensure to finish in the direction of the nap. Be gentle near the edges and fringes!
High Pile or Shag Rugs
The above tips also apply to high pile rugs!In addition to regular vacuuming, you may wish to occasionally take your rug outside and give it a good shake to clear out any dust.
Inspections & Maintenance
Rugs made with natural / plant fibers should only be cleaned with a neutral detergent and dried quickly.
Don't worry if lint appears, as these are residue fibers produced from cutting the cotton. Periodically inspect your rugs for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Address any issues promptly to prevent further deterioration.
If you notice loose threads, trim them carefully with scissors to prevent unraveling. Never pull a loose thread.
